Caroline Taylor (KES 03-10) is an award-winning soprano singer who has performed all over the world.  She completed her vocal studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester after studying French, Italian and Spanish at the University of St Andrews and the Sorbonne in Paris.

We were delighted to welcome her back to KES yesterday to deliver what was a fantastic talk to our Music Scholars. Caroline spoke about her journey to becoming a professional singer, the need for resilience working in the music industry, but also for great empathy and depth of emotion, in order to really engage with the roles she plays. She advocated the study of languages and how this has been of benefit to her professionally and of the real joy she gets from performing.  It was a privilege to hear her talk with such enthusiasm about the job she loves.
