OE Updates

Michael Wong (KES 17-24) is currently studying Medicine at Oxford university.

This year, alongside his studies, Michael will be undertaking the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with a joint team from Oxford university and Oxford Brooke’s university to fundraise money for Amnesty International. Michael is passionate about this cause in the belief that everyone deserves to be able to access basic human rights, no matter the situation.

Climbing Kilimanjaro will be his biggest challenge yet. The physical side is only part of it, it’s also about discipline, consistency, and commitment over many months of training. After the Christmas break, he will begin a structured plan, running two to three times a week and incorporating leg strength and conditioning to prepare for the altitude and endurance needed.

His goal is to raise £5895, the height of the mountain. You can read more about Michael's challenge on his Virgin Money giving page HERE. He will be posting updates on his progress as he works towards his climb.
