Having recently retired, we were delighted that David Bannister (KES 1982-89) found the time to return to KES to speak to all Sixth Form students about his career in the Metropolitan Police. David ultimately became a Superintendent having worked in counter-terrorism, taking on national responsibility for the response to events such as the Salisbury poisoning. David spoke about the challenges of modern day policing as well as encouraging students to keep an open mind about career paths and to always go the extra mile in their work.
