Sesika Norgbey (KES 20-25)

OE Updates

As part of the School's Black History Month celebrations, we were delighted to welcome back former student, Sesika (KES 20-25) to share her Ghanaian heritage with our school community.

Sesika spoke passionately about the cultural significance of name days in Ghana offering students a deeper understanding of identity and tradition.  To bring the experience to life, she treated everyone to delicious Ghanaian foods including sweet puffs and fried plantain and shared a video from her recent trip to Ghana.

Later in the day she also led an incredible African Dance workshop, sharing her passion, energy, and expertise with pupils who learnt about the origins and cultural significance of the dances and explored the rhythm, storytelling, and community at the heart of African movement.

Thank you Sesika for a wonderful and inspirational day.
